Danielle has long been a person who loves to support those who have mental health issues. She began by volunteering with patients in hospice care through an organization called Kindred Hospice and continued with the organization even after completing her undergraduate degree. After graduating from Elmhurst College in Illinois, she began working for the DuPage County Health Department where she worked diligently as a Community Support Specialist for the adult population. This position required Danielle to travel throughout the community to provide case management to adults who struggled with chronic mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression. Danielle worked for the organization for almost two years. Now she is living in Cornelius while pursuing her Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University in the hopes that she will be able to better serve all foster families.
