Debra is a native Floridian who chose to leave the sunshine state and attend college at Indiana University. Upon graduation, she returned home and began her career in accounting. She was a big sister to some amazing young girls in Florida and Indiana and spent two years as a guardian ad litem. Appointed by the court, Debra was assigned to ensure that the needs of abused and neglected children were being met. When her daughter began attending school, she switched gears and became treasurer of the parent-teacher association in the elementary and middle schools. When her daughter left home to attend college, Debra turned her focus back to helping children and families experiencing foster care.
