PROGRAM IMPACT

​The Love Box program is at the heart of Charlotte Angels’ mission to walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community. Through this initiative, dedicated volunteers are matched with foster families to provide ongoing support, encouragement, and connection.

In 2024, thanks to our incredible volunteers and donors, the Love Box and Dare to Dream Mentorship programs impacted 77 children and youth, and 22 families. From delivering monthly care packages filled with essentials and personalized items to offering emotional support and a sense of stability, these programs strengthen families and remind them that they are not alone on this journey.

Charlotte Angels is building a community of people that are literally changing the way children, youth, and
​families experience foster care. Passionate donors, volunteers, partners, and advocates are all ripples in the sea of change for our foster care community.

Meet important needs and provide long-term support for children, youth, and families in a way that is not offered through traditional services models.

Establish relational permanence. 
​Charlotte Angels volunteers remain committed to families and youth, and often stay connected with them after their volunteer period has ended.

Create normalcy opportunities for youth in foster care, which promotes healthy social development and well-being.

The social capital generated through Charlotte Angels programming can help reduce hardships experienced by children and families by providing relationship-based resources to navigate challenges.
